Project Report: Volunteering Academy 2024

SGS 2024 Grantee: Two CSOs in Ukraine

Project: Training and Resilience Programme “Volunteering Academy 2024”.

The CSOs implemented their training and resilience programme “Volunteering Academy 2024” under Strand B of the BEARR Trust’s Small Grants Scheme.

30 employees and volunteers took 10 in-person classes lasting 6 hours with highly professional teachers and practitioners and received a lot of inspiring communication in a circle of like-minded people.

The classes covered the topics most in demand in today’s difficult war conditions:

1. “Anti-burnout. How to manage your own resources”;

2. “Body and psyche are one”;

3. “Soft skills for teamwork”;

4. “Improving your personal ability to cope with difficult situations and personal ingenuity”;

5. “Conflict-free communication with people: a person-oriented approach”;

6. “My superpower”;

7. “Me and people: establishing and restoring relationships”;

8. “Regain your zest for life. Enjoy life. Dream”;

9. “Techniques of business communication as a tool for self-presentation and interaction with others”;

10. “How do you know if you need a psychologist’s help?”.

As a result of training at the Volunteer Academy, employees and volunteers from the CSOs gained useful knowledge and practical skills that will allow them to: – pay attention to their own condition and be confident in their physical and emotional ability to help others; – take care of themselves in order to take care of others better; – take an interest in the well-being of other team members; – use their own skills to cope with a difficult life situation; – increase the effectiveness of their activities.

This has significantly improved the well-being of our employees and volunteers, and also increased the sustainability of our organisations.

All employees and volunteers asked to convey to the BEARR Trust warm words of gratitude for improving their well-being. Now we will carry out joint projects with renewed vigour to help our beneficiaries who are in a critical life situation.
