Four more organisations registered under ‘foreign agents’ law
Ministry of Justice adds four more organisations to their register of foreign media agents
All four organisations were created by media journalists already on the register.

The list includes companies Altair 2021, Vega 2021, Editor-in-chief 2021 and Romashki Monolit.
The agency reported that the submissions to the register were presented voluntarily by the founders themselves, since individuals declared to be foreign media agents must, according to the law, register a legal entity.
The Ministry of Justice clarified that “in this case we are talking about the conscientious observance of the requirements of the law” by the persons included in the register.
The organisations were created by journalists from Project (recognised as an undesirable organisation in Russia) and Open Media (the project’s website was blocked at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office, after which the publication was shut down.)
