The Russian State Duma extends benefits for CSOs on the use of endowment capital

A bill to extend support measures for CSOs using endowment capital has been adopted at first reading.

This involves temporarily exempting CSOs from the obligation to use at least 25% of their endowment capital income for three consecutive years, and instead use it to increase the size of their endowment.

The rules on the cancellation of endowments in the event of a significant reduction in the value of their assets and restrictions on the amount of funds for administrative and management expenses have also been suspended.

Implementation of these rules has been delayed until 1 January next year, with the new law extending this status until the beginning of 2029.
